Rookie of the Dnieper John Jairo Ruiz commented on his transition.
“I like football since childhood. Dad instilled a love for this sport, and I was in the field from a young age. Began studying at the school of the largest Costa Rican team Deportivo Saprissa. And after the world youth championship in Colombia I went to French club Lille, where I moved. From there I was twice given in rent to Belgium, and in those clubs I played regularly,“ said Ruiz about his past.
“Why I failed to gain a foothold in Lille? The first reason is the age. It was hard at such a young age to win the competition with a number of good players. Rent in Belgian clubs have become a good school. It gave me a practice game. Bad happened, I went back to Lille, but unfortunately got injured. It happened again I managed to gain a foothold in the first team. I had to go into another lease“ – revealed the player the reasons behind his departure.
“I was walking to Lille from the lease, when he received an offer from Dnipro. I would not want to make, whether it’s the stage before returning to Europe or I will spend here the whole life. The main thing now is to concentrate on the beginning of the season and make every effort to prove himself and help the team to achieve great results.“
“What should fans expect from me on the field? The advantages’ll take the speed and ability to handle the ball. And here’s what you need to work, it’s over their head. Play left in me, perhaps better,“ added Ruiz.
Earlier SPORTS bigmir)net reported that Ruiz has signed a contract with the club for three years. Also Dnipro to sign defender of the national team of Costa Rica.
