Chelsea officially announced the appointment of Guus Hiddink as head coach of the team.
“I’m glad to be back at Stamford bridge. Chelsea is one of the strongest clubs in the world, but at the moment he is not at the place where it should be. But I am sure that we will be able to fix it in the second part of the season,“ Hiddink told the club’s official website.
“Looking forward to work with amazing staff and players of this great club, but especially forward to continuing the excellent relationship with the fans,“ added the Dutchman.
Hiddink already headed Chelsea in 2009, and then managed to win the FA Cup and reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Recall that the bosses of Chelsea on 17 December decided to terminate the contract prematurely with Jose Mourinho.
