Bulgaria was punished by the local club for the team in protest left the field
Bulgarian club Litex (Lovech) are excluded from the first division of the local football League as punishment for the fact that the team left the field in the 44th minute of Saturday’s match against Levski. This decision was made by football Federation of Bulgaria, according to lequipe.fr.
In addition, the club President Trifon Popov, who ordered the players to leave the field in protest against unfair, in his opinion arbitration, was fined 15 thousand leva (7,500 euros). The club must also pay a fine in the amount of 20 thousand leva (€10,000).
Litex, who before that match occupied the fourth line in the tournament table, may file an appeal within one week.
