The most titled Ukrainian judoka Georgii Zantaraia won the last tournament before the Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro.
Initially the tournament in Madrid was not included in the Olympic cycle of preparation of Zantarai. But, as noted by the athlete, a training plan was consciously changed.
“My coach and I decided to come to Madrid to spend the fight in a competitive mode”.
The most difficult opponent in this tournament for Zantarai was Frenchman Kevin Nanor. After this fight, George said the press service of the tournament the following:
“It is very good that he gave me such a heavy fight. He blocked my left hand, and before the Olympics was very useful for me to train such a situation.”
In the subsequent battles the Umbrella of the special problems with their rivals experienced.
In the semi-final was a victory over Kevin Azem. In the final our athlete won the experienced Matthias Bushehr.
Recall, Zantaraia is one of seven Ukrainian judokas, who won licenses for the Olympic games in Rio.
