Belarusian coach Viktor Goncharenko has left the Urals.
On 1 September a meeting took place between the mentor of the Urals Viktor Goncharenko and the President of club Grigory Ivanov, after which the parties agreed to terminate the cooperation.
“The cause of labour relations was the divergence of views on ways of further development of the club. Due to unhealthy tension in the press around the club side, refuting all speculation and rumors, agreed to refrain from commenting in the media,” reads a message on the official website of the Urals.
Note that last Tuesday, August 25, 38-year-old Belarusian expert Viktor Goncharenko left Ekaterinburg a few days before the match with Terek, having written the application on dismissal at own will.
Rumored to be the reason for this decision was possible contractual nature of the match of the championship of Russia between the Terek and Ural – bookmakers set abnormally high odds to win Terek in the away match against Ural. The match eventually ended in a draw – 3:3.
Goncharenko was headed by Ural June 14, 2015. This season, after seven rounds in the Premier League team scored six points and occupies the 11th place in the standings.
Goncharenko became known for working with BATE, with whom the specialist has won the championship of Belarus, and also played in the Champions League and the Europa League.
