Pilot Mercedes Lewis Hamilton commented on his first win at Interlagos.
Today Hamilton won the Grand Prix of Brazil, so close to Nico Rosberg for a distance of 19 points.
“Great race, right? I want to thank my fans for what they endured such a long Grand Prix. I appreciate their support and hospitality,” says Lewis.
“As for the race, then to the lead race, I enjoyed it. Usually in the rain I have no problems with piloting. I learned easily.
I thank my team for a great car – we are making history. I’m proud to be part of Mercedes. No mistakes, no drama, no drifts. Honestly, it was interesting to hear about how many errors occurred behind me.
The fight for the championship? I will fight to the last. Now the car had no problems with reliability. The results are proof of that. Easy race for me.
However, at the moment I just want to enjoy the moment: I started to dream about winning here, watching the successes of Ayrton Senna”.
